Explaination: Anti cytosolic 5nucleotidase 1A(anti-NT5C1A) shows a specificity of greater than 90% in IBM<br>Fatty infiltration on MRI is more common than inflammation<br>Muscles most frequently involved include Flexor digitorum profundus of forearm and anterior compartment of thigh with sparing of rectus femoris and severe involvement of medial compartment of gastrocnemius<br>Early in the disease ,FDP is disproportionately weaker than other hand muscles (FDS , interossei and abductor pollicis muscles). Early FDP weakness can alert the diagnosis of IBM over other myositis/ALS.
