Which drug may be used safely for acute attack of migraine in pregnancy?
Explanation
*
Both acetaminophen and metoclopramide are considered safe first line medication for pregnant women. Other NSAIDS may increase risk of cleft lip and miscarriage in first trimester and premature closure of patent ductus arteriosus in third trimester. Opioids similarly should be avoided. Triptans may result in small increased risk for preeclampsia and preterm delivery. Sumatriptan may be safe in lactation. Ergots are contraindicated in pregnancy and breast feeding
